The Divö Parking Mode
The standard 12V installation switches your camera off the moment your ignition does. The Divö Hardwire Kit connects directly to your car's fuse box, giving your camera a continuous power supply that runs around the clock. Motion detection, impact detection, and time-lapse recording mean that whatever happens to your car while it is parked, it is on camera.

Do I need the Hardwire Kit if I already have a Divö camera?
Totally worth it. If your car spends any time parked in public, on a street, in a car park, or outside an office, you are currently unprotected the moment you walk away. The Hardwire Kit is what keeps your camera running after the ignition goes off, enabling parking mode with motion and impact detection. Most customers who buy a Divö camera add the Hardwire Kit within the first month. We recommend getting both together from the start.
Will the Hardwire Kit drain my car battery?
No, when installed correctly. The Hardwire Kit includes automatic low voltage protection that cuts power to the camera before your battery drops too low to start the car. However, correct installation by a qualified mechanic or car electrician is essential. An incorrectly installed Hardwire Kit can in some cases draw from the battery when the car is parked. This is why we strongly recommend professional installation.
Is the Hardwire Kit compatible with all Divö cameras?
It depends entirely on the size of your memory card. On a 64GB card, roughly 8 hours of Full HD footage before the oldest files start being overwritten. On a 128GB card, that extends to around 16 hours. On a 256GB card, this extends to around 3 days. These durations are standard market guidelines and the reality of recordings may vary as per number of channels and other reasons.
Should I install the hardwire kit myself?
Unless you are generally DIY friendly, we recommend you get this installed by a mechanic as there is an element of technical know-how to it. Will installing the Divö Hardwire Kit void my car's manufacturer warranty?
Hardwire installation is a standard automotive accessory procedure that is widely performed across India and is generally considered acceptable under most car manufacturer warranty terms. That said, warranty terms vary between manufacturers and models, and Divö India is not in a position to make representations on behalf of any car manufacturer regarding their specific warranty conditions.
We strongly recommend checking your vehicle's warranty documentation or consulting your authorised dealership before proceeding with Hardwire Kit installation. If your dealership raises any concerns, please contact us and we will do our best to assist you with information that may help clarify the situation.
