FAQs

Please read our FAQs page to find out more.

Does the D30 record while my car is parked?

Not on its own. To keep your camera recording while parked, monitoring for motion and impacts around the clock, you need the Divö Hardwire Kit, it is an add-on product that we highly recommend. It connects directly to your fuse box and keeps the D30 running even when your engine is off. Most customers who buy the D30 add the Hardwire Kit within the first month. We recommend getting both together to save you the hassle further.

What if I experience an accident from the back into my car?

The D30 is a front-only camera. If you want front and rear coverage, the D30R is the same camera with a rear unit included and is available for a small difference in price. On Indian roads, incidents from behind are just as common as incidents from ahead. If you are on the fence, the D30R is almost always the smarter choice.

How long is my footage stored before it over writes itself? How do I increase this time?

It depends entirely on the size of your memory card. On a 64GB card, roughly 8 hours of Full HD footage before the oldest files start being overwritten. On a 128GB card, that extends to around 16 hours. On a 256GB card, this extends to around 3 days. These durations are standard market guidelines and the reality of recordings may vary as per number of channels and other reasons.

Does the D30 series need professional installation?

The standard setup using the included 12V adaptor takes about 15 minutes and requires no tools. Most people manage it on the first try. If you want to hardwire the camera for a cleaner finish and parking mode capability, professional installation by a mechanic is recommended and typically costs between Rs.700 and Rs.1,500 depending on your city.
